 £3bn energy efficiency package for buildings – presents an opportunity to all building and construction contractors to incentivise customers who might be thinking about energy efficient home improvements. 

£2bn pot to encourage walking and cycling – presents an opportunity to SMEs supplying cycles, e-bikes and e-scooters to supply to inviduals and corporate organisations seeking to encourage their workforce to healthier travel options. 

Green Recovery Challenge Fund 

The government announced on 14 September that grants from £50,000 to £5 million are now available to help the nation build back greener from the coronavirus pandemic.

The £40 million Green Recovery Challenge Fund brings forward funding for environmental charities and their partners to start work on projects across England to restore nature and tackle climate change. 

Applicants for over £250,000 must submit expressions of interest by 24 September 2020 and if successful full applications by 26 October 2020. The deadline for applications under £250,000 is 2 October 2020.
