The three part package is outlined below, : 1 – Ultra Low Emission Vehicle Fleet Masterclass – 28th September 2018 Pride Park This masterclass will enable participants to make informed choices about their future low emission vehicle options. It is aimed at fleet decision makers, environmental managers or anyone requiring a working knowledge of next generation low emission vehicles, charging infrastructure options, business models and policy drivers. This is CPD accredited and offers a mixture of technical content, delivered by Cenex, covering:
  • Environmental Policy
  • Low Emission Vehicle Operation
  • Low Emission Temperature Controlled Transport
  • Infrastructure & Alleviating Capacity constraints

Is your company set to profit from these changes? A host of intelligent mobility technologies are emerging that include:

  • sensors to monitor and manage transport networks
  • demand-responsive public transport services
  • mobility information services

These technologies all depend on data capture, integration, analysis and commercial exploitation – with data is set to become the new value chain creating commercial opportunities in the transport sector. This conference explores the how both citizens and businesses can benefit from emerging mobility technologies as we transition towards ultra-low emission, connected and autonomous vehicles. The course has been accredited as a continuing professional development qualification. It takes around 21 hours to complete, and individuals will have their own logins so that they can undertake the course at their own pace. Learning Objectives – By the end of the course learners will have:
  • An understanding of the different types of electric vehicles and their associated technologies.
  • Knowledge of current electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
  • Understand how the electric grid works and the impacts on the network of a transition to electric vehicle usage.
  • Be able to produce a project plan for the installation of an EV charge point(s).
  • Have an awareness of Government and Local Authority policy drivers and the availability of public support.
Course format
  • Video interviews with EV industry experts discussing all aspects of installation, grid connectivity and charge point usage
  • Technical content on electric vehicle charging.
  • Quizzes to test knowledge gained.
  • A case study role-playing exercise regarding a charge point installation.
