Leading the shift to a low carbon economy

The network held its first conference in June 2017 at Pride Park Stadium, Derby.

This event was aimed at senior decision makers from public, private and third sector institutions who are already leading the shift to the low carbon economy across our region. Sustainable business and the low carbon sector is thriving in the East Midlands. According to Government figures low carbon business is five times larger than aerospace and double the size of auto manufacturing in the UK; employs more than 35,000 people in our region alone.

2.How can we accelerate this shift across our region?

This event celebrated the exciting developments in low carbon and sustainable business practices from across our region and explore the megatrends, opportunities and support that are driving this shift in the East Midlands.
